🧤 GOALKEEPERS

Goalkeepers
Toni Madden (Banknock FC)
Usually commanding at centre-back, Toni Madden answered the call in extraordinary fashion by stepping into goal on Saturday — and looked like a natural. Pulling off several crucial saves, Madden’s versatility and composure proved vital as Banknock secured an important victory. A true example of doing whatever it takes for the team.

Brian Weir (Bishopton FC)
An outfielder by trade, Brian Weir took one for the team and delivered one of the moments of the weekend. With the game finely poised at 0-0, Weir produced a sensational penalty save that kept Bishopton alive and shifted momentum. Despite being unlucky with Cambuslang’s opener, his courage and heroics between the sticks were nothing short of outstanding.

🛡️ DEFENDERS

Defenders

Christian Barcz (Bishopton FC)

Calum Craig – Clydebank Red Star
Good to have Cal back for a couple of midweek games recently. So composed on the ball and solid defensively. Popped up with the winning goal which secured safety.

Paul Cavana (Rhu Colts)
Forced out of his usual midfield role and into defence, Cavana adapted seamlessly. Strong, intelligent, and composed, he looked completely at home at the back and was a key figure in Rhu’s resilience.

Gary Weir (Southside United)
Gary’s development this season has been impossible to ignore, and Saturday may have been one of his best yet. Against a dangerous Rhu attack, Weir embraced the physical challenge and dominated his battle superbly.

Michael McRear – Cambuslang FA
The captain led exactly as captains should — with authority, determination, and quality. Rock solid defensively while also getting himself on the scoresheet, McRear delivered a complete performance.

Tony Reynolds (Southside United)
After a frustrating stop-start campaign, Reynolds rolled back the years with a reminder of his quality. Facing a dangerous striker, he stood tall and delivered one of his strongest performances of the season.

Anton McDowell (Cambuslang FA)
First game back and straight back to business. McDowell slotted into the heart of the defence and led from the front with a solid, assured display.

Richard Henry – Rhu Colts
Experience, leadership, and defensive know-how were all on show as Henry produced a classy, dependable performance at the back.

Darren Stevenson JNR – Port Glasgow Boys Club
A first-half double turned the tide for Port Glasgow, with Stevenson dominating the midfield battle and dragging his side back into control.

Electric down the right. Ruddy’s pace terrorised defenders all day, while his double and multiple assists made him one of the weekend’s standout performers.

Joe McMillan (Greater Croftpark Rose)
A tireless, selfless display from Joe, who adapted to a reshuffled midfield and delivered with immense discipline and determination.

Ten minutes. Three goals. Total chaos. Wilson’s explosive cameo off the bench stole headlines as he bagged a sensational hat-trick and MOTM award.

Peter Collins – Westhill United
A midfield rock. Collins combined grit with genuine quality, breaking lines, controlling possession, and keeping Westhill ticking throughout.

Darren Connell (Woodbank FC)
“Dazza” is finding top gear, and that should concern the rest of the league. A midfield powerhouse with all-round quality, his ceiling looks incredibly high.

Zu Malik (Glasgow Ansar)
Introduced at half-time and completely changed the game. Malik seized control, inspired the comeback, and transformed Ansar’s midfield.
