Friday night under the lights promises drama, passion, and everything that makes cup football special as the Bunrigh Cup Semi-Finals take centre stage. With both ties kicking off at 7:15pm, four teams will battle it out for the chance to reach a major final and move one step closer to silverware.

SEMI FINAL ONE ⬇️

NETHERCRAIGS v CLYDEBANK SMFC

At Kirktonhome in East Kilbride, Nethercraigs face Clydebank SMFC in what looks set to be a tightly contested encounter. Both sides have experienced similar league campaigns, spending much of the season around mid-table, but cup football has a way of rewriting the script.

Nethercraigs burst out of the blocks earlier in the season and looked like genuine title contenders before a run of disappointing defeats slowed their momentum. Despite that dip, semi-final football offers the perfect stage for redemption, and they’ll know that one big performance can put everything back on track.

Clydebank SMFC, meanwhile, will see this as an equally huge opportunity to turn a steady season into something memorable.

CORINTHIANS V PATHER FC

The second semi-final sees Corinthians take on Pather FC at Rutherglen Glencairn Juniors Park, also with a 7:15pm kick-off. Pather head into the clash as favourites thanks to an impressive season and a squad packed with quality and experience.

Their form and calibre of Pather FC make them a formidable challenge for any side. But Corinthians, cast as underdogs, will believe they have the ability to spring a surprise.

Cup football is built on moments of belief, determination, and sometimes a little fortune — and if Lady Luck shines on them, Corinthians could yet write their own unforgettable chapter.

WRAP UP

With two compelling matchups, contrasting stories, and a place in the final at stake, Friday night has all the ingredients for a classic evening of Bunrigh Cup action.

Form, league position, and favourites mean little once the whistle blows — this is knockout football, where heroes are made and dreams can be realised in 90 minutes.
