The final weeks of the GDSFC season are beginning to take shape, and over the next month Footy Focus will be building towards the major cup finals across the league calendar.

The finals are now set, but the paths to get there have looked very different

The build-up will include:

• Player and goalkeeper quickfires
• Matchday information
• Stat-led Frank Sideline notes
• Final previews closer to kick-off

The aim is simple — give the finals the coverage they deserve while also reflecting the wider picture of a strong season across the GDSFC.

Alongside the finals themselves, Footy Focus will also be working with clubs and contributors across the coming weeks to highlight the stories behind the cup runs, the key moments that shaped them, and the people involved on and off the pitch.

The early “Road to the Final” graphics already show how varied the journeys have been — from penalty shootout escapes to high-scoring semi-finals and controlled unbeaten runs. The finals may be fixed, but the paths to get there have all looked very different.

Every final has a scoreline waiting at the end of it. The interesting part is usually everything that happened before it.
