Another full round of GCFA fixtures — and once again, the nominations tell the story.

This isn’t picked in isolation. This is club-led recognition across a historic, competitive, and thriving Saturday morning league — players trusted in big moments, stepping up what games are there to be decided.

No rankings. No overthinking it. Just the names put forward by the people who see it up close every week.

Goalkeepers
GK – Aiden Mcilwaine – Lokomotiv
The big goalie deserved a clean sheet after an imperious performance and a penalty save, but for conceding late consolation in the corner.

Defenders
DEF – Kieran Ward – Netherton AFC
Winning goal with an outrageous header and MOTM performance strolling it at the back. 

DEF – Dale Mullen – Port Glasgow Boys Club
Dale was his usual self and led by example throughout the 90 minutes.

DEF – Joe Scullion – Rhu Colts
Another solid performance from the skipper, Holds the defensive line together.

DEF – Ross Gemmel – Bishopton FC
Gemmel slotted into left centre half on Saturday and played exceptionally well. He showed great leadership qualities and his use of the ball was excellent throughout the game

DEF – Lewis Tait – Camby FA
2 weeks in a row has been brilliant for us and solid defensively.

DEF – Chrissy Shields – Park Sports Project
Despite operating in central defence, he dealt with most things well defensively while still producing those trademark driving runs from deep.

DEF – Joe Dickson – Toryglen Thistle
A defensive masterclass from Joe helped his club to a big league victory.

Midfielders
MID – Kev McFarlane – Rutherglen Glencairn AFC
Kev was outstanding in the middle of the park scoring a hatty along the way in a motm performance. 

MID – Adam Daniel – Rhu Colts
An excellent performance in the middle of the park from Adam, always seems to have time to play the right pass.  Topped it of with a goal from the penalty spot.

MID – Euan Brown – Rhu Colts
Euan started the game in midfield, finished it at right back and topped off a really good performance with a well taken header 

MID – Jamie MacLeod – Rutherglen Glencairn AFC
Jmac was pulling the stings in midfield casing all sorts of problems 

MID – Ali Naysmith – Lokomotiv
the midfield maestro with a stone performance and two goals from CM, linking Lokos play.

MID – Steven Christie – Camby FA
won everything in the air and was solid in the midfield.

MID – Jamie Carbin – Toryglen Thistle
A big performance and two goals from the midfield man helped ensure the points for his club.

MID – Jojo Lang – Rutherglen Glencairn AFC
Jojo wad everywhere winning battles n breaking up play motm by a mile 

Strikers
STR – Kieran Irwin – Lokomotiv
Kieran embodied the Lokos spirit pressing and chasing down everything as a striker, getting as assist but carried Lokos thoroughout.

STR – Liam Kelly – Port Glasgow Boys Club 
Liam was again at his best and he really gave the Southside defence a torrid time.

STR – Vlad Mendes – PSP
Vlad was involved in all of PSP’s good play, when the attacker is on form he is a hard player to stop.

STR – Barry Waddell – Third Lanark AFC
Scored the opener with an outstanding strike from outside the box and hassled the opposition all game. Won just about every header he contested.

STR – Ross Martin – Westhill United
A goal on the day and showed good levels to get us back level. Enjoying his partnership up top. 

STR – Ethan Furze – Bishopton FC
Ethan was a real thorn in the side of the Clydebank defence he will be disappointed he only scored 1 goal however the one goal he did score was class turning the defender inside out and finished with great composure. On another day he gets a few more.
STR – Leroy Smith – Rutherglen Glencairn AFC Leroy was electric again wee fella back to his best

STR – Lewis Barr – Remo FC
A well taken goal and an all round top class performance.
