Another full round of GCFA fixtures — and once again, the nominations tell the story.
This isn’t picked in isolation. This is club-led recognition across a historic, competitive, and thriving Saturday morning league — players trusted in big moments, stepping up what games are there to be decided.
No rankings. No overthinking it. Just the names put forward by the people who see it up close every week.

The keeper was superb throughout the 90 minutes, He pulled off numerous top saves.

Struggling with an injury Matt was only fit for the bench. Only to be used in emergency were his words. Well with half an hour to go the emergency glass was broken when our keeper was forced off with a nasty ankle ligament injury. Big Matt took the gloves and did brilliantly to keep the ball out his net. Some really good saves and helped us to a well deserved point.

Commanding off his line all game, and an absolutely massive save at 2-1 became the platform for us to get the 3rd.

The defender was a rock for his team and never deserved to finish on a loosing team.

Another commanding performance from the big man, especially facing up to the leagues top marksmen.

Tony has had two very good games at left back the last two weeks. He is well deserving of being in this week’s squad of the week.

Our trusteed captain moved from centre back to centre mid this week, resulting in him scoring one.

Absolutely solid, really came into his own last couple weeks. Against a real tough front line he held his own and last 15 seemed to clear everything.

This crazy horse is like a brick house on steroids. Solid at the back with the occasional nose bleeds when he drifts up the pitch.

The skipper had his usual 8 out of 10 performance and beside big Marc they are becoming a very comfortable pair in central defence

Aiden was so composed at the back and performed well though out the 90 minutes. Managed to get a rare goal too

The veteran defender has been solid the last few games for us.

Jack produced another excellent performance for his club and his distribution was excellent also.

The creative mid has been like a hot knife cutting through butter when the ball is at his feet it doesn’t matter how many defenders are infront of him that ball is going into the net.

In an unfamiliar position but never looked out of place and showed great composure for his goal

Darren added another 2 goals to his ever growing goals tally.

John’s first half performance was excellent. He looked sharp – even though he is not long back from injury.

Part of a 2 man midfield against 3. Controlled the tempo of the game and full of energy off the ball.

The wee Man has stepped up in the captains role in the last two games. Putting in a solid performance. His not stop attitude is like a dog chasing a ball.

The big man strolled it in the centre of the park and was a key to busby’s Victory.

Robbie put in a tenacious performance. Shows exactly what is missed when he is absent.

Another brilliant performance by Jacob. Another 2 goals and numerous inch perfect balls into dangerous areas.

Chrissy had one of his best games in a PSP shirt and scored the opening goal.

Zander only played a half, but hit a belter of a free kick that the keeper had to parry into the path of the goalscorer and scored a delicious second.

A problem all game for them with his excellent hold up play and rounded it off with a brace.

As always, Archie was a nightmare for the opposition defenders, He never gave them a moment to breathe.

Jordan worked tirelessly all game and his assist for the first goal was unbelievable.

The Striker was superb all game long, just before half time he scored an absolute wonder goal from almost the half way line.

Even though the striker was not on the winning team he absolutely worked his socks off for his club and was unlucky not to get on the score sheet.

Two goals from the striker and a top drawer performance to match.

Hat-trick, real strikers performance and knowing Kyle he probably felt he could had more. Picked up a knock early on but battled for the 90.
This isn’t about noise or filling spaces — it’s about recognising impact across the league.
Different divisions, different roles, same outcome: players influencing games when it matters.
If this is your standard Saturday morning, that tells you everything about the level across the GCFA.
