Saturday’s GCFA fixtures are done — and the nominations tell the story again.


An outstanding performance from the Busby goalkeeper. Despite conceding four, Simba was exceptional throughout—pulling off a string of tremendous saves and commanding his area with authority. His vocal presence and shot-stopping kept Busby in the contest far longer than it might have been otherwise.

Ali made numerous massive saves that ultimately won us the three points.

Another solid performance from the GK. Made some big saves early doors as we soaked up some pressure before we began to control the game.


A new role for Marc at CB today and as expected he absolutely strolled it. Solid and aggressive. Showing his versatility once


Josh has been consistent in helping his club to back to back clean sheets.

Kieran was solid throughout the 90 minutes he even popped up and scored a late winner with the last kick of the ball.

The versatile centre half came on to play lcb and kept the tricky winger quiet and used the ball very well


Came off the bench at HT and changed the game instantly. Driving forward and defending resolutely, helped us to a big win away from home. MOTM.

The captain put in a brilliant defensive performance in at the weekend.


Was massive at the back for us on Saturday. With only one goal in it we had to make sure we didn’t give anything away and the big man cleared everything that came his way. Passing range was on point as usual,all round top performance

Another who came on at HT and changed the game. Marshalled Rhu’s main threat and won everything that came his way. A solid performance.

Strong defensive showing as continues to work up to full fitness after a year out injured


Lewis was in top form at the weekend scoring a brace and earning a well deserved man of the match also bagging a few assists also.

Steven was such a threat all over the pitch. So tenacious and aggressive in his play , sets a very high standard.

A standout performance came from Jack Caldwell, whose influence on the game earned him a well-deserved Man of the Match award

Started at LB then with the changes at HT, moved into his preferred position and allowed us to move forward as a team second half. Integral to everything that happened second half.

Kieran was top drawer on Saturday and picked up the clubs MOTM.

A constant threat as usual throughout the match. Non stop running and trickery on the wing. Could have scored a couple but just couldn’t find the finish but a fine game nonetheless.


Goal and an assist for Matthew, a new addition to the squad but has definitely put a mark down!

Jack was super at the weekend bagging his 2nd hatrick for the club wha a season he’s having.

John again put in the work in midfield and kept battling got the team going with his work rate

A 10-minute hattrick for Greg on Saturday. Shows up and runs the show. Simple as that.

We always look a better side with Paddy in the midfield, gives us that wee bit extra legs and quality in there. He is also a goal threat as he proved on Saturday, popping up with the important equaliser.




Ben was a menace down the left wing all night. Opened up the scoring.

Mitchell is just back from injury and played an unbelievable 90 minutes – a true skipper and the heart of our midfield.


Grant had fantastic numbers from the game, 3 assists and a goal! Terrible foul in the box won his penalty..👀

If Ewan is the flair then Marty does the dirty work. Constant running and won the ball back numerous times


A hat trick for Cludo on Saturday including a moment of personal brilliance. He’ll have his eyes set on the Red Star top goalscorer award now.

Vlad was superb today, the attacker worked his socks off and created four goals for his teammates.

The Attacker was a constant threat throughout the 90 minutes and also scored a crucial goal.

Sean scored 2 important goals in the game at the weekend and his overall play was very good.

Another six goals scored by Liam for the second week running.

A medic veteran dusting off the boots for the first time this season. Came on in the second half and scored the third which put the nail in the coffin


The striker was deadly today as he scored three goals and helped his club to a vital league win.

3 goals on the day, absolutely clinical and reached a huge personal milestone!!
