An excellent October personally means attacker Jay McKay walks away with the Premier Division Player of the Month award.

Jay is a top quality defender who leads his team by example on the park. The defender never hides and always demands the ball to try and get attacks started for his club.

Jay is a name that has continually been put forward to Footy Focus throughout October and most importantly he has helped his team climb up the Premier League table.

A string of tremendous performances throughout the month has saw Jay play some of his best football for Rutherglen Glencairn AFC.

From the moment he stepped onto the pitch, his influence was clear. Commanding, composed, and fearless, McKay has quickly become a driving force behind Rutherglen’s impressive form. If the club is to push on and enjoy a successful campaign, there’s little doubt that their new defender will play a vital role.

October was nothing short of exceptional for McKay and his teammates. Three huge Premier League victories sparked momentum and propelled Rutherglen Glencairn into serious title contention. Jay has been outstanding since hes came into the side cementing his position at centre back.

His ability on the ball is second to none and he’s really gave the club that composure at the back to get on the ball and play from the back.

Jay has been an unbelievable signing for the club and long may it his unbelievable form continue.
