It’s that time of the year again and we feel it is right to acknowledge a manager who we thought had an outstanding season.

Co – managers Kieran Scott and Tam Graham have been named Managers of the Season for the first time; the deadly duo finished ahead of Gavin Lawlor, Thomas Quinn, Colin Stevenson and Scott Pollok;

The impressive pairing led Toryglen Thistle to a historic club treble including the Boca Championship, the Jim Harvey Cup and the GCFA Cup.

Winning every trophy that is available for the club to win is certainly a massive indication of who should be winner of the coveted Manager of the season award.

Tam & Keiran far right

We caught up with the winning gaffers and they had this too say about the award.

Absolutely phenomenal it totally blew us away. We had the target to gain promotion out the division but to go and win it and then the two cups on top of that was just incredible.

Playing 31 games from January to May was something else and you can only applaud the players to keep battling away 3 to 4 games a week.

After winning the first one against rossvale then going to the wire to win the title showed the character in the squad.

But winning the title on the Thursday and preparing themselves to go again on the Saturday in a cup final against one of the best in PSP was a phenomenal effort from the players.

To then win the treble in our first season as a club it was just spectacular and a week in football that me and Tam will never forget.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Well done to the Toryglen Thistle and the management duo for having a truly remarkable first season in the GCFA.
