The clouds finally parted this morning, giving us a cracking Saturday for some amateur football. After a Friday night that saw the rain coming down in sheets, the air was fresh and the stakes were high across the grounds. While some felt the sting of the weather more than others, the action on the pitch certainly didn’t disappoint.

WHAT WENT DOWN ⬇️
Park Sports Project 6 – 0 Nethercraigs

With their title rivals watching from the sidelines today, PSP knew they had a massive opportunity to apply some pressure—and boy, did they take it. They put on a clinical display, putting six past a good Nethercraigs side.
It was a statement performance that sees them bag three vital points and tighten their grip on the top end of the table.
Bishopton FC 1 – 6 Clydebank Red Star

Over in Linwood, Clydebank Red Star arrived with a point to prove. In a dominant “show-stopping” performance, Red Star were back to their best and made life hard for Bishopton FC.
This wasn’t just about the three points; it was about survival. This result gives them some much-needed breathing space as they look to climb away from the dreaded relegation zone.
Cambuslang Milan 2 – 3 Clydebank SMFC

Cambuslang Milan welcomed Clydebank SMFC to Stepford, but the “Bankies” proved to be anything but gracious guests. In what was easily the game of the morning for the neutrals, the two sides played out a five-goal thriller.
SMFC showed great character to edge it 3-2, a result that eases their own relegation worries and leaves Milan wondering what might have been.
Toryglen Thistle P – P Corinthians

Unfortunately, the Friday night deluge claimed one victim. The grass pitches at Greenfields were deemed far too soggy for play, forcing the clash between Toryglen Thistle and Corinthians to be postponed.
That’s a wrap on another dramatic morning of GCFA action! Whether you’re climbing the table or fighting for every inch at the bottom, the drama never stops. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and we’ll see you at the touchline next week!
