The race for the Hills Solicitors Colleges Conference title is heating up as we head into another action-packed weekend. While Remo FC continues to set a blistering pace at the summit with their unbeaten record, the chasing pack is starting to feel the pressure.
With several teams holding games in hand and crucial points up for grabs at both ends of the table, tomorrow’s fixtures could prove pivotal.
From a Friday night lights clash to a battle of the heavyweights in the top four, here is your look ahead to the upcoming matches.
Friday Night Special
Glasgow Medics vs Bearsden AFC

The action kicks off early this week under the lights at Auldhouse. The Medics currently sit mid-table and will be looking to bounce back and find some consistency after a mixed run of form.
They face a Bearsden AFC side that has endured a grueling season, sitting at the bottom with just a single point. However, the Medics cannot afford complacency; Bearsden is desperate to prove they can compete, and a Friday night atmosphere might be exactly what they need to spark an upset.
Saturday Morning Fixtures
Banknock vs Cambuslang FA

This is arguably the “Game of the Day.” Cambuslang FA is currently sitting in 3rd place with games in hand over the teams around them.
A win here is essential if they want to keep the pressure on Remo FC. They face a Banknock side that has proven difficult to break down, recently securing a high-scoring 5-4 victory over Lokomotiv.
If Banknock can find that scoring touch again, Cambuslang’s defense will be in for a long morning.
Remo FC vs Queen’s Park SFC

The league leaders, Remo FC, look nearly unstoppable. With 14 wins from 17 games and a goal difference of +41, they are the gold standard this season.
They host Queen’s Park SFC, who sit comfortably in 7th. Queen’s Park has shown they can compete with the best on their day, but keeping Remo’s frontline quiet for 90 minutes is a task few have managed this year.
River Nevis vs Rosebank United

A massive clash for the podium spots. River Nevis holds 2nd place and will be looking to solidify their “best of the rest” status. However, Rosebank United is the league’s most Unpredictables.
Despite being in 8th, they have played significantly fewer games than those above them.
If Rosebank win their games in hand, they are genuine promotion contenders.
Expect a high-quality, tactical battle here.
Westhill United AFC vs Cathcart AFC

Westhill United are currently tied on points for 3rd and boasts the highest “Goals For” tally in the league (72). They are a nightmare for any backline.
The home side welcome Cathcart AFC, who are looking to distance themselves from the bottom three. Cathcart will need a disciplined defensive performance to weather the inevitable Westhill storm.
The League Table

Wrap Up
With the league title and promotion spots still very much undecided, every goal counts. Will Remo FC extend their lead, or can the likes of Cambuslang FA and River Nevis close the gap? Whatever happens, the Glasgow Colleges Saturday morning section continues to deliver the drama.
Good luck to all the teams competing—see you on the sidelines!
