Saturday’s GCFA fixtures are done — and the nominations tell the story again.


Ross made a string of good saves. Ensured that we got a positive result out of the match.

Owen produced another clean sheet against Glasgow Ansar. The shot stopping goalkeeper earned his shut out with a couple of great saves.


Paul produced two saves in the penalty shootout and was MOTM for his Club. The overall performance of the goalie Sent
his club into the semi final.


Wasn’t asked too many questions in the 1st half but still pulled off a couple of important saves. But his distribution is the real strength and he set off several attacks. Also bagged himself an assist with a pinpoint free kick onto the head of Harry to nod home.


Jacob was instrumental in today’s win. He was up and down the wing the whole game. A lovely interaction with Eddie Ferns, saw him one on one with the keeper and he slotted it home.

Another 70 mins in the tank since coming back from injury. First goal of the season too.

Kieran delivered an outstanding performance at right back, showing real quality and determination throughout the match. He was dominant in his individual battles, consistently winning duels and shutting down opposition attacks with strong tackling and smart positioning. His composure on the ball and willingness to push forward also added to his overall impact, making him a key player on both ends of the pitch.


Luke put in a good shift at full-back and really helped the team out at both ends of the park.



Punter was brilliant today. He won his battles in the air but was also picking his passes like a quarter back. A polished performance.

like Kyle at the other end, struggling for things to say! Stokesy just went from strength to strength and has become a real leader in this group.

Jordan had a great game and controlled the back line very well alongside his defensive partner Callum.


Ryan cruised it again at centre half. Calm on the ball all day long and was a big influence on how Knightswood won the game.


A good performance from the right back. He’s been begging to get in the team of the week for ages.


Ronnie had an outstanding game at the back marshalling the defence and like a lot of Nethercraigs players didn’t deserve to be on the losing side

A brilliant week for the wee man, got a hattrick and showed the quality we see in training every week!

Only played 45 minutes before picking up a knock but first 45 was outstanding

Matthew put in a strong and disciplined performance in centre midfield, doing the vital dirty work that kept his team ticking. He showed great determination in winning his individual battles, breaking up opposition play and regaining possession consistently. His work rate and physical presence in the middle of the park were key, allowing his teammates more freedom while he handled the tough side of the game effectively.

Good to have the big man back, quality for the 90 mins and a big factor in the teams win.

Wee man was outstanding in the middle of the park lots of energy plus bags of quality to go with it. Motm performance.


Chrissy was excellent and linked well with our attack to create a couple of goals.


Liam was our man of the match and produced an absolutely brilliant assist for the second goal

After a hard shift last week against Chyston. Alan was back in the trenches and commanding the midfield. He was unlucky not to score with a strong header but the keeper got his hands on it.

Tony played up front 1st half and on the end of a great team move for our 1st goal. Set up the second before slotting back into midfield for the 2nd half.

Conor was excellent out wide and was instrumental in all our good attacking play more to come from him.

Mark covered every blade of grass on the Toryglen pitch and scored an absolutely sensational towering header.




Came off the bench and gave us some much needed legs up top. Got the equalizer.


Fraser was at it from the first whistle. Keep his tempo up for the full 90 minutes especially tuff on a heavy grass pitch.

Liam scored six goals and was dubiously done out of a seventh, The striker certainly had his shooting boots on today.

Two goals and a great performance from Jamie.


Cammy was excellent on the day, he set up McMillan with a quality cross and generally caused the opposition defenders a lot of problems.


James has been a great addition to the squad but yday was far his best performance had the queenspark defence on the backfoot most of the game.


came on up top 5 minutes into the 2nd half and produced 2 great finishes. A composed touch and took it round the keeper for his first and clever header for his second.


Jack scored the opener and his work rate was superb throughout this Jim Harvey cup tie.

Smart had another fine game for the club after just recently joining a few weeks back, The attacker made a good contribution by providing two assists.
