Power, precision, and plenty of goals – our GCFA Player of the Week ticked every box.

Congratulations to

Liam Kelly of

PORT GLASGOW BC

This weeks footy focus GCFA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

An excellent week for Liam Kelly means he takes away the Boca Championship player of the week award.

In a stunning Championship league clash, Port Glasgow Boys Club produced an emphatic 11–0 victory over Glasgow Ansar. While the scoreline alone is enough to turn heads, it was Kelly’s individual contribution that truly stood out. Finding the net an incredible six times, he produced a clinical and composed display that attackers dream of.

From sharp positioning to ruthless finishing, Kelly showed every attribute of a top striker. Whether it was instinctive finishes inside the box or well-timed runs that left defenders trailing, he proved unplayable on the day. Scoring once in a match is notable — scoring six is exceptional.

Beyond the individual brilliance, these goals could have a much bigger impact. As the season pushes toward its decisive stages, contributions like this can define title races. Kelly’s performance not only boosts his own confidence but also provides a significant advantage for Port Glasgow Boys Club as they chase championship glory.

Six goals in game one, He’s proving he is one of the best strikers in the division

What a debut season for the Port Glasgow Boys Club striker.

Well done to PGBC and of course Liam himself on winning this prestigious weekly award
