There were plenty of big performances this week, but some of the most important work often goes a bit unnoticed.

That’s exactly where Connor Moan comes in.

At the back, he was solid all game. Strong in the tackle, read things well, and didn’t give much away. When Remo needed someone to step up and steady things, he was there — simple as that.

What really stood out though was his goal.

Picking the ball up in his own half, he just went for it. Drove forward, beat a few players, and finished it calmly into the corner. Not something you expect from a centre-back, but he made it look easy.

It’s the kind of moment that can change a game, and it came from someone who had already been putting in the hard work defensively.

He might not be the loudest name on the team sheet, but performances like that don’t go unnoticed by the people that matter.

Reliable at the back, decisive going forward — a proper all-round shift.
