Remo FC v Banknock AFC

Speaking after the match, the manager Harry reflected on how the campaign has developed so far — and why the group continues to deliver week after week.

1️⃣ Season so far — how do you reflect on it?
It’s been a brilliant start to the season, especially for a debut campaign. To be top of the league and unbeaten at this stage says a lot about the group. The lads have bought into everything from day one and the consistency we’ve shown has been excellent.
2️⃣ Did you expect this level, or has it grown over time?
We knew we had a strong squad, but the level we’ve reached has probably grown as the season’s gone on. Confidence has built with each result and the standards have kept rising week by week.
3️⃣ What’s been the biggest factor behind the results?
It’s a mix of everything, but consistency and togetherness have been massive. The squad depth has helped, but it’s the work rate, attitude, and how the boys stick together that’s really driven the results.
4️⃣ How do you approach the run-in from here?
We’ll take it one game at a time and not get carried away. The focus stays the same — keep standards high, stay disciplined, and keep picking up points. Nothing’s won yet, so we stay grounded and hungry.
5️⃣ Blake and Lee — what did they bring?
They were excellent. Both brought energy, quality, and a real presence to the game. They’ve settled in quickly and added competition to the squad, which only pushes everyone else on.

Unbeaten, top, and no fuss about it. That’s how you set standards in a historic, competitive, and thriving GCFA league — especially when this stage of the season starts asking real questions.
