This week’s nominations reflect exactly what the GCFA is — a historic, combative and thriving Saturday morning league where standards are set every weekend. One player per team, recognising the quality across the divisions and the individuals who made the difference for their side

🧤 1. Jack Maclennan (Glasgow Island)

A top-class performance once again from Jack. His shot-stopping and command of the area were crucial, helping secure a strong result. He’s in outstanding form right now and continues to be a key figure for Glasgow Island.

🛡️ 2. Luke Dempsey (Remo FC)

Back in the starting lineup and straight into top form. Luke was calm, composed, and dominant throughout — and capped it off with a goal and a Man of the Match display. A huge contribution at both ends of the pitch.

🛡️ 3. Arslan Baig (DTI AFC)

⚙️ 4. Brandon McAuley (Camby Milan)

Another week, another standout showing. Brandon dictated the tempo, linked play brilliantly, and was a constant attacking threat. His consistency is setting the benchmark in midfield right now.

⚙️ 5. Allan McCoo (Greater Croftpark Rose)

One of his best performances of the season. Allan was immense in the midfield battle, breaking up play and keeping things ticking over. A real engine in the centre of the park.

⚙️ 6. Lennon McGuinness (Netherton AFC)

A game-changing display out wide. Lennon combined flair and work rate, scoring a fantastic goal and providing an excellent assist. His energy and quality made a huge difference.

7. Ben McAllister (River Nevis)

Clinical and creative. Ben delivered two goals and an assist in a superb attacking performance. A constant threat all game and a deserved spot among this week’s top performers.

Plenty of big performances across the league, with clubs represented right through the divisions. That’s the standard in the GCFA — quality, consistency, and players making the difference when it matters.
