Weekend Preview: A Big Saturday Ahead in the GCFA
The season is moving into a stage where points matter across all three divisions. This Saturday’s fixture list brings matches that affect the top end, the middle, and the other end of the tables.
Here is your quick guide to the action.
THE PREMIER LEAGUE ⬇️

Park Sports Project hold a 2-point lead at the Top of the table, but the chasing pack is congested and with PSP not playing Glasgow Islands could take over at the top.

• The Main Event: Corinthians vs Glasgow Island. A must win game for Corinthians as defeat would certainly be a massive blow to their hopes of retaining the title. Glasgow Islands are in good form at the minute so this game should be a cracker.

• Keep an Eye on: Bishopton vs Nethercraigs. These two clubs don’t like to draw games so Saturday will see a high scoring game and plenty of attacking football.

THE CHAMPIONSHIP ⬇️

The Championship : The Race to the Top
The Championship returns this Saturday with fixtures that affect the top of the table.
RHU Colts remain top, but have played more games than those around them, so they need to keep adding points.
Busby AFC travel to Greater Croftpark Rose in a fixture involving two sides in the middle of the table, with games in hand still shaping their position.
PGBC Amateurs face Netherton with games in hand that could reduce the gap at the top.
At the other end, DTI are still looking for their first point as they travel to Kings Park United.

THE CONFERENCE LEAGUE ⬇️

Conference League
Remo FC remain top and set the pace in the division.
Cambuslang FA travel to Westhill United in a fixture involving two sides near the top, with games in hand still affecting the table.
River Nevis face LS Memorial, with both sides looking to improve their position.
Elsewhere, Burnhill take on Cathcart AFC, and Glasgow Medics face Rosebank United in a game where points would move either side up the table.

Four seasons of watching this league and the pattern remains the same. Titles decided late, promotion races that run right to the end, and fixtures every Saturday that actually matter.
The Glasgow Colleges FA remains one of the most historic, competitive and thriving amateur leagues in the country — and weekends like this are exactly why.
