Hugh’s stat pack round up
Two confirmed results and one postponement have already shifted the GCFA Championship picture on March 14th, with more still to come once the outstanding fixtures are settled.

PGBC Amateurs produced the biggest confirmed move of the day with a 2–0 win over Third Lanark Amateurs. That result lifts PGBC onto 25 points from 10 matches and pulls them level with Busby AFC on points, while still leaving them with games in hand on several sides above and around them.

Greater Croftpark Rose and Woodbank AFC shared the points in a 1–1 draw. It adds one point to each side, moving Croftpark onto 15 from 13 matches and Woodbank onto 12 from 12.

At the top end, Rhu Colts remain on 34 points after their fixture with Southside United was postponed. That means the leaders hold their place for now, but the full effect of the weekend cannot be measured properly until the remaining matches are in.

Two Championship fixtures are still outstanding at this stage. DTI against Netherton and Kings Park United AFC against Lokomotiv Glasgow AFC have still to be added, so this is only a partial picture rather than the final March 14th update.

Matchday Numbers

• 2 matches played

• 4 goals scored

• Average: 2.0 goals per game

• Highest scoring match: Greater Croftpark Rose 1–1 Woodbank AFC / PGBC Amateurs 2–0 Third Lanark Amateurs

• Biggest margin: PGBC Amateurs 2–0 Third Lanark Amateurs

• Rhu Colts — 34 pts (15 games)

• PGBC Amateurs — 25 pts (10 games)

• Busby AFC — 25 pts (12 games)

For now, PGBC are the side that have made the clearest move, climbing onto 25 points while keeping games in hand in their favour. At the same time, the postponement at the top means Rhu’s position is unchanged, and the next version of the table will matter more once the rest of the division catches up.

With two results still missing, the Championship story is only partly told. For now, the numbers are moving, the games-played column still matters, and Hugh will return with the full stat packs, table movement and deeper review once the remaining results land

Hugh’s Round-Up

The first GCFA Championship results from March 14th are now in, with early movement in the table but the full picture still to come.

PGBC Amateurs made the biggest move of the day so far with a 2–0 win over Third Lanark Amateurs, taking them onto 25 points from 10 matches and strengthening their position in the promotion picture.

Elsewhere, Greater Croftpark Rose and Woodbank AFC shared the points in a 1–1 draw, while the scheduled meeting between Rhu Colts and Southside United was postponed.

Two fixtures are still to be confirmed, so the Championship story for March 14th isn’t complete yet. Once the remaining results land, Hugh will return with the full numbers and updated table picture.
