Another busy weekend of football produced several standout individual performances. Big saves, key moments in midfield, and decisive finishing all played their part. Five players have been nominated for Player of the Week after performances that made a real difference for their teams.

David Kempton (Busby AFC)
It’s impossible to ignore the impact David Kempton had this weekend. After passing a late fitness test following a work accident on Friday, the Busby goalkeeper produced a performance full of determination and quality. Kempton was solid throughout the 90 minutes, but his real heroics came during the penalty shootout where he saved two Southside penalties to send Busby into the next round. A performance full of character and composure under pressure, and a clear contender for Player of the Week.

Cameron Hendry – Greater Croftpark Rose Cameron Hendry was a constant thorn in the side of the opposition defence and played a huge role in Greater Croftpark Rose progressing in a difficult cup tie. The attacker produced a superb display, scoring one goal and setting up another, while consistently causing problems with his movement and attacking intent. His creativity and work rate made him one of the standout performers on the pitch and a key reason his side moved into the next round.

Vinny Gillespie (Camby Milan)
While McAuley was pulling the strings, Vinny Gillespie was finishing everything that came his way. The striker produced another first-half hat-trick, continuing a red-hot run of form just when his team needed it most. Clinical in front of goal and constantly causing problems for defenders, Gillespie’s ruthless finishing made him one of the standout performers of the weekend.

Ethan Furze – Bishopton FC
Ethan Furze was at the heart of everything good Bishopton produced. He had a hand in all three goals, delivering a dangerous cross that forced an own goal before adding two of his own. His second goal was the highlight of the match — a moment of individual brilliance where he twisted the defender and goalkeeper before calmly finishing. A complete attacking performance that earned him a deserved Man of the Match.

Kyle MacDonald – Westhill United
Kyle Macdonald once again showed why he’s such a key player for Westhill United. The striker delivered a relentless performance, scoring two goals and providing an assist as he ran the opposition defence ragged. His movement, work rate, and finishing made him a constant threat throughout the match and played a crucial role in Westhill’s attacking success..
