Hugh Dunnit — February Decision

Four managers. Four strong months in the GCFA Premier League.

Murdo Graham guided Glasgow Island through a February that included two emphatic league victories and progress in the Premier League Cup. An 8–0 win over Bishopton and a 4–2 victory against Knightswood showed exactly the kind of attacking football that has pushed Island firmly into the title conversation.

Marty Gallagher produced an important month for Clydebank SMFC, overseeing big league wins against Nethercraigs and Toryglen Thistle as his side moved themselves clear of the lower end of the table.

Thomas Quinn’s Rutherglen Glencairn side delivered across multiple competitions, picking up a league win while also progressing in both the Cinema Cup and the West of Scotland Cup.

Ryan Kerr’s Cambuslang Milan produced two huge league victories that have given the club renewed belief in their fight to climb away from danger.

But when the results for February are placed side by side, one month stands out.

Hugh Dunnit’s GCFA Premier League Manager of the Month:

Murdo Graham — Glasgow Island.

Two big league wins.

Cup progress.

And a team continuing to strengthen its position near the top of the Premier League.

For Hugh Dunnit, months like February are exactly why the GCFA Premier League continues to thrive.

Big games. Big results. Managers getting the best from their squads week after week.

In a historic Saturday morning league like the GCFA, standards are earned on the pitch — and February delivered plenty of them.
