Knightswood 0–5 PSP
Smart Hat-Trick Keeps PSP Top
PSP started the game on the front foot, pressing the Knightswood defence from the first whistle.
No real chances in the opening ten minutes, but you could see early that PSP meant business.
On 15 minutes, PSP drove forward and created a half chance. The Knightswood defence dealt with it, conceding a corner. A good delivery from Dec found no takers and drifted behind.
A minute later, the breakthrough.
Some tidy work in midfield released Smart, who drove into the area and was brought down. He picked himself up, took the penalty himself, and slid it into the keeper’s left-hand side. 0–1.
PSP continued to dominate.
On 19 minutes it was 0–2. Ali played a nice ball over the top which found Smart running into the area. He composed himself and slotted it home.

22 minutes — Vlad down the right, inside to Ali, whose shot was well saved.
25 minutes — neat play between Smart and Vlad, with Vlad firing across the face of goal but no one there to finish.
27 minutes — good link-up again, this time Vlad and Dec. Dec’s shot from just inside the area was well saved.
34 minutes — Dec did well down the left and delivered a fine cross, cleared by the Knightswood defence.
PSP kept pressing. Callum broke away down the right but his cross failed to meet its target.
Just before half-time, Smart picked the ball up on the right and fed Dec, who got a good shot away — again well saved.

The second half started much the same as the first ended — PSP on the attack.
Vlad drove down the left and found Ali, who quickly slipped Smart in on the right of goal. His shot cannoned off the bar and away.
47 minutes — Sami made a good run down the right and delivered an inch-perfect cross. Smart met it and guided his header into the net. 0–3 and a hat-trick.
61 minutes — Tiernan down the left, ball across to Vlad, whose effort was pushed away for a corner.
Then a nice piece of play out on the left involving Vlad, Callum and Colin. A quick one-two between Vlad and Callum, before Vlad fed Colin on the edge of the area. Colin swept the ball low into the net to make it 0–4.
73 minutes saw Knightswood reduced to ten men.
80 minutes — Sami again down the left, inside to Callum, who rolled it into Duggan’s path. Duggan slammed the ball home from inside the area. 0–5.
85 minutes — an altercation on the far side saw Colin receive a second yellow, while a Knightswood player was shown a straight red.
Full-time: 0–5.
An all-round strong performance from PSP to keep them top of the league.

Has to go to Smart for his three goals.
Always available, always involved, and at the heart of a lot of the good play. Took his penalty well, finished his second with composure, and guided his header in for the hat-trick.
A wee word as well for the back four — Kingy, Duggan, Jordan G and Anton.
A clean sheet and they limited Knightswood to very few chances across the 90 minutes. Solid and organised throughout.
