Can Anyone Stop Remo FC?

Remo FC sit top of the GCFA Conference with 37 points from 13 matches and remain unbeaten.

The gap looks solid — but the fixture column tells a different story.

Westhill United have 27 points from 12 games.

Cambuslang FA have 22 from just 10.

River Nevis hold second, but have played more than those around them.

The table has a leader.

It does not yet have alignment.

Saturday won’t decide the title — but it will bring the numbers closer together.

Here is everything you need to know about this weekend’s fixtures.

🏟️ The Headline Clash: Queen’s Park SFC vs. Remo FC

This is undoubtedly the “Match of the Day.” Remo FC sit comfortably at the top of the table with a near-perfect record (12 wins, 1 draw, 0 losses). They are the only unbeaten team left, and their defence has been solid as a rock.

However, Queen’s Park SFC are never an easy team to face. Currently they are sitting in 6th place, they have the home advantage and the chance to be the first team to take all three points from the league leaders.

If Queen’s Park can pull off the upset, they could climb as high as 5th.

🥈 Battle for Second: River Nevis vs. Bearsden AFC

On paper, this looks like a home win. River Nevis are currently holding onto 2nd place, but they’ve played more games than the teams chasing them. They need a win here to keep the pressure on Remo FC.

They face Bearsden AFC, who are having a season to forget.

Sitting at the bottom with only 1 point from 16 games, Bearsden are desperate for a miracle.

For River Nevis, this is a “must-win” to stay in the title conversation.

📉 Mid-Table Scramble: Cathcart AFC vs. Rosebank United

This is a fascinating “six-pointer” at the lower end of the table. Both teams are tied on 13 points, but Rosebank United have a massive advantage—they have five games in hand over Cathcart.

A win for Rosebank would signal their intent to fly up the table toward the top five, while Cathcart AFC needs a result to distance themselves from the relegation zone.

🦁 LS Memorial vs. Burnhill FC

LS Memorial faces a tough test against high flying Burnhill FC

Burnhill have been one of the most consistent sides this season, currently sitting on 26 points and looking to break into the top three.

For LS Memorial, this is about pride and consistency; they have the firepower to cause an upset, but they’ll need to tighten up in defence if they are to come away with three points.

Glasgow Green Grass – 10:00am Kick Off

🚀 Westhill United AFC vs. Banknock FC

Westhill United are the team everyone is talking about. With a staggering 61 goals scored in just 12 games, they are the most dangerous offensive team in the league.

They face Banknock, who are currently fighting to climb away from the bottom two.

Banknock will need to play the game of their lives to keep Westhill’s strikers quiet, as the home side looks to capitalize on their games in hand to catch Remo FC.

🏥 Glasgow Medics vs. Cambuslang FA

This is a high-stakes tactical battle. Cambuslang FA (5th) are arguably in the strongest position in the league to gain promotion —despite being 5th, they have played the fewest games (only 10) and have a massive +28 goal difference.

If they win their games in hand, they are genuine title contenders. However, Glasgow Medics (8th) are notoriously difficult to beat at home and will be looking to use their experience to stall Cambuslang’s momentum.

🏁 Wrapping Up the Weekend

Remo FC remain unbeaten at the top.

Westhill United and Cambuslang FA both have games in hand and the scoring numbers to stay involved.

River Nevis are protecting second with more matches played than those behind them.

At the lower end, the gap is measurable — and shrinking fixture lists mean fewer recovery opportunities.

No noise. No predictions. Just columns that will look different by Sunday afternoon.
