It was a landmark Saturday for Red Star as the club celebrated a significant century. The management team officially reached 100 competitive games in charge during their latest outing against Glasgow Athletic.
The milestone serves as a testament to the stability and growth the club has experienced under the current leadership. Since taking the reins, the staff has navigated the highs and lows of competitive football, building a squad that reflects their vision and tenacity.
The Faces of the 100
The core trio leading the charge through this 100-game journey includes:
• Scott Pollock: Manager
• Reece McWiggan: Assistant Manager
• Ross Elder: Coach

The club also extended its gratitude to coaches Stuart Love and David Gunnion, whose support and technical expertise have been vital components of the team’s operations throughout this tenure.
A Bittersweet Departure
While the weekend was a celebration of longevity, it also marked a poignant “end of an era” for the coaching staff. The 100th game served as the final match for Coach Ross Elder.
Elder departs after 2.5 years of dedicated service to the Red Star badge. A spokesperson for the club noted that his efforts have been instrumental in the team’s development, and he leaves with the best wishes of the entire Red Star community.
“Everyone at Red Star would like to thank Ross for his efforts over the last 2.5 years. His contribution to this 100-game milestone cannot be overstated.”
As the club looks beyond the century mark, the focus now turns to the next chapter of the season, fueled by the momentum of this historic achievement.
Footy Focus would like to wish Ross all the best and congratulate the current Clydebank Red Star Management team for their fantastic achievement.
