This is the clubs’ view of who stood out: impact moments, responsibility, and the work that decided games.
Hugh Dunnit’s Team of the Week to follow.

Keepers decided big moments again this week
The goalkeeper nominated below delivered when it mattered most.

Two huge saves at important times. A reminder of just how important the big fella is.

GK – Declan Jones – Third Lanark AFC
Made a vital save at the end to prevent the opposition levelling the game. Each passing week getting more match sharp.

Defenders doing the dirty work — covering, organising, staying switched on.
This week’s nominations were all about organisation, leadership, and doing the simple stuff properly — last-ditch tackles, covering teammates, and staying switched on when games got stretched.
.

Andy put in some shift down our right hand side he was everything you ask from a wing back solid in defence and a threat going forward. He calmly slotted the ball home at a crucial point the game to give us a 3-2 lead.

Tyler had a brilliant game today and handled big Gal very well – even though there is a significant height difference. His timing was second to none and his distribution was class.

left back – outstanding performance from the captain, lead by example and always puts his neck on the line

DEF – Blair Garner – Banknock FC
Blair was playing on the left today was up and down all day, work rate was unreal.

DEF – Jon Wallace – Rosebank United
First full 90 minutes in a long time and was outstanding. Popped up with a goal to put us in front late on as well.

DEF – Lewis Roberts – Glasgow Medics
Lewis was the anchor at the back and held o one of the top teams in the division to conceding only just the one goal and helping Medics win the match.

Sean has become a mainstay of the team lately and his performances keep getting better and better. Sean was superb again on Saturday.

Midfield: work rate, pressure, and control.

Sparky was full of energy throughout the game making it difficult for Clydebank to get a foothold of the game. It was more than just his energy though his all round performance was to be admired.

Matt put in a huge shift in central midfield on Saturday, setting the tone with his work rate and commitment. He fought for every ball, never shying away from a challenge, and showed real determination in both attack and defence. His energy seemed endless as he covered every blade of grass, constantly tracking runners and offering an option for his teammates. It was the kind of all-action performance that doesn’t always grab headlines but makes a massive difference to the team.

A 5ft 8 terrier. Zander worked his socks off to make things happen.

Could have picked any of the midfield 3 for the effort throughout the game. Paddy just edges it with him getting the all important equaliser!

Floody was a stick out today. First to every tackle and shut down many PSP attacks. It was a MOTM performance for me.

MID – Paul Murphy – Glasgow Medics
Paul bossed the midfield all game long and he scored the second goal winning his team the game and three vital points.

Colin dictated the midfield again, kept up his good form and is starting to show the consistency we asked from him , brilliant assist.

Another smashing performance from David, which is becoming the norm, back in his favoured position on the wing where he tormented his opposite number.

3 goals, hattrick in 15 mins from centre midfield. What more can you say.

MID – Sean McManus – Lokomotiv
An attacking midfielder that constantly delivers threatening set pieces and runs beyond the striker. Grabbed 2 goals for his efforts.

Another smooth performance from the midfielder. Controlled the game and allowed the others to push forward knowing he had it covered

James was outstanding at right wing-back on Saturday, delivering a performance full of energy and quality at both ends of the pitch. He played out of his skin in attack, driving forward at every opportunity, while never neglecting his defensive duties. His tireless running and commitment caused constant problems for the opposition, and he capped it all off with a well-deserved goal. It was a complete wing-back display and a huge contribution to the team.

The Nethercraigs centre mid has been the stand out all season and once again totally ran the match.

MID – Luke Kane – Banknock FC
Luke scored a goal today and was controlling the game forward and defending.

MID – Jack McAllister – River Nevis
One goal and one assist. Jack was brilliant from minute 1 – 90. Kept going at them the whole game and although only had 1 assist and 1 goal, he made the keeper make 3 amazing saves and was part of at least 4 of our goals.

Another great display from Eddie. He was unlucky not to score from the half way line when he caught the PSP keeper of his line, but unfortunately it hit the post. His persistence paid off when he ran PSP defence and hit a powerful shot from about 25 yards, which opened the scoring.

Forwards: movement and moments.

Goal, assist and MOTM tells its own story. Particularly good first half. Double figures for the season with goals.

STR – Kieran Irwin – Lokomotiv
Worked as the target man all game, getting us up the pitch, bringing others into play and being a thorn in the CBs side. Got an assist but deserved more for his efforts.

– injured in the warm up, insisted on playing. Scored an absolute beauty. Pulled up repeatedly but saw the 90 mins through – showed a huge amount of heart.

DJ ability wise when on his game is on a different level , and he was on his game today spectacular first goal and caused the busby defence problems all game

Ryan was at it again, another goal for the striker today who also grabbed an assist.

Ethan was a constant threat all day he took his first goal with great composure lifting the ball over the goalkeeper. His 2nd of the morning was a tremendous free kick from the corner of the box into the top corner. A man of the match performance from Ethan.

Two goals for the big striker both with his weaker foot, led the line very well and a thorn in the side of the Netherton back two until taken off late in the game.

The striker does what he does best and scored to help take his team to a big victory over Clydeside.

Keep the nominations coming — the clubs know best who stood out. Your feedback keeps Squad of the Week sharp and useful every Saturday. 💪⚽
