Jack’s View
PSP v Corinthians (Cup)
Jack has followed PSP home and away over the last few seasons, watching son Ally in midfield. This is his view from the sideline
Both sides started cautiously, with neither team really settling early on.

Corinthians’ first real threat came on 23 minutes when a deep cross from the right was headed just wide of Johnny’s post. PSP responded with corners on 26 and 30 minutes, both delivered by Declan, but neither caused serious problems.
The deadlock was broken on 39 minutes. Corinthians produced a strong driving run down the left, cut inside, and fired a low shot from around 25 yards into the bottom corner to make it 0–1.
PSP looked to respond before the break. Gal drove into the box on 41 minutes, earning a corner, but again nothing came of it. Just before half time, a Corinthians free kick from the left was delivered into the box, the ball broke loose, and was poked home to make it 0–2 at the interval.
Early in the second half, Gal had a fierce shot blocked on 48 minutes. PSP won another free kick on the right on 52 minutes but failed to capitalise..

From there, the game fizzled out with few clear chances for either side.
Overall, it was a disappointing encounter considering both teams are contesting the league title. Neither side created many real opportunities, and the game never fully opened up.
