What pleased you most about the performance?

“What pleased me was that the lads stuck to the formation, shape, and game plan we set up to face Queen’s Park, who’ve been on a great run recently. We narrowed down their main threats, flooded the midfield in the first half, defended well, and got in behind their full-backs. Overall, we comfortably won the game.”

What’s changed over the last two weeks?

“We’ve played the new formation properly and with confidence. Each player has improved week by week, adapted to it, and really taken it as their own. That belief going into games has been a big difference.”

How important was the work done over the New Year?

“We didn’t take a break. We kept going with 5Ks each week and training sessions — even on Christmas Eve. That work has definitely shown on the pitch.”

What does this result say about the team’s position and potential?

“We believe we can climb the table quickly after a shaky start. We’re a new team and a lot of the boys were just getting the cobwebs off. I always knew we had a strong footballing side, but now we’re playing as a team, with confidence and passion.”

What did today’s three points bring into the squad?

“Belief and confidence. The lads know now that we can beat top teams when we stick to the game plan. It’s not about individuals anymore — it’s about the team, with everyone helping each other.”

Were the standards shown the full picture?

“I don’t think that was our full potential. We never really got out of third gear, and the game could’ve been five or six. A silly mistake at the back gave them an edge at 1–1 around the 30-minute mark, but we stayed calm, weren’t threatened, and went on to have a brilliant game.”
