Banknock AFC moved into the last 16 of the Cinema Cup after a 2–0 win, settling the tie with two second-half goals.

First Half: Dominance Without Reward

Banknock started brightly and created early chances, but the game remained goalless at the break.

The sides went in at the break at 0–0 after a first half that produced chances without a breakthrough.

Second Half: The Breakthrough

The momentum stayed with Banknock after the restart. The pressure finally told when Jack played a precision through-ball to Kian, who stayed composed in a one-on-one situation to slot the ball home for the opening goal.

Banknock doubled their lead shortly after through a rapid counter-attack. After a run down the wing, Kian turned provider, sending a low cross across the six-yard box for Ben Alum to tap in at the far post.

Late Drama

Banknock had the chance to add a third after Calum Hanney was fouled in the area, but Isaac was unable to convert from the spot.

Despite the missed penalty, Banknock stayed solid defensively. Max Noble made a number of key saves at 1–0 to prevent an equaliser.

Progress to the last 16 is confirmed for Banknock, with league fixtures next before their Cinema Cup campaign continues.
