Kelburne v Drumchapel
GDSFC Championshi
Keith Johnston
Kelburne Management

With the forecast so poor and so many games off yesterday and today, when did you first feel this one was definitely going ahead?
We thought it would be on, but I was up early and phoned to check so I didn’t keep the lads waiting.

It didn’t change our approach at all, to be honest. We stuck to our usual game and were outstanding throughout.

Drumchapel started well and there was an early swing in momentum — did that change anything in how you asked the team to respond?
We went ahead, then they got back into it with a soft penalty. The boys didn’t wilt. We stuck to the plan, didn’t let up when we eventually got back in front, and played some excellent football.

How we kept the standard. A lot of teams might lose interest or drop intensity, but we kept on at them and didn’t let up.
Looking at your league position and the standards you’re setting, how important was it to keep momentum going today?
Very important. We want to keep setting the same levels every week and today was another step in that.
