Four seasons in and the Squad of the Week has grown arms, legs, and opinions.

That’s where Hugh Dunnit steps in.

He doesn’t do polite applause — he picks the lads who made things happen: effort, impact, and a touch of grit. No heatmaps. No faff. Just standards.

Hugh Dunnit — GCFA Team of the Week

This week he rips it up and goes 3-4-3 — too many forwards were unplayable to leave out.

🧤 Goalkeeper

Michael Smith – Queens Park SFC
Imperious at centre-half. Countless clearances and blocks. Gave his side the platform for everything else.

Jamie Docherty – Knightswood AFC
Debut at centre-back, won everything in the air, and chipped in with a goal. That’s how you kick a season off.

Tyler Fulton – Corinthians
Best performance since his injury. Won his battles, used the ball well, and looked in control from the back.

Scott Hodge – Rutherglen Glencairn AFC
The engine. Covered every bit of the park and kept the standard high from first whistle to last.

Billy Young – Third Lanark
Two goals and a MOTM display from midfield. Drove the game and KPU couldn’t get to grips with him.

Kian Donaghy – Queens Park SFC
Wide man in form. Another brace, six for the season now. Constant threat every time he picked it up.

Jack Pellow – Toryglen Thistle
Gave the left-back a torrid time down the right and finished it off with a sharp strike in off the post.

Rocco McGillivary – Toryglen Thistle
Five goals in one half. Automatic pick. When he moved up top the whole game swung.

Ross Macdougall – Knightswood AFC
Another hat-trick from the captain and ran himself into the ground. Led from the front in every sense.

Kai McDougall – Clydebank Red Star
A defender’s nightmare — strength, pace, low centre of gravity. Two goals and an assist to back it up.

🔁 Bench
• Kyle MacDonald – Westhill United
Hattrick and back to his best — only edged out by a front three that were ruthless.
• Greg Forrest – Clydebank Red Star
Ran it again in midfield; unlucky to miss out with so many goals flying in elsewhere.

Jamie Macleod – Rutherglen Glencairn AFC

Jmac was excellent up top scoring 2 and getting an assist, Motm performance from the magician.

TEAM MANAGER ⬇️

Scott Pollock

Scott Pollock led Clydebank Red Star to a massive win over top of the league Nethercraigs. Pollock seems to be a man who can inspire his team to big performances.

“You can keep your fancy stats — these lads made things happen. Goals, graft, and guts. The rest will just have to chew on it.”

Thanks to the clubs who sent detailed nominations — they make this sharper every week and build on Hugh’s touchline viewings. Keep them coming, with context, so we can spotlight the shifts that swung points.
