Goalkeepers
(None nominated this week — move straight to defenders)

Built from nominations praising leadership, reading of the game, stepping into unfamiliar roles, and shutting danger down.
This week’s defenders stood out for:
handling centre-forwards with calm filling in at new positions winning aerial battles blocking everything thrown at them guiding their back line through difficult spells debut performances that looked anything but new
A group defined by reliability, decision-making, and big contributions at both ends of the pitch.

Grant Black – Third Lanark
Assured and composed performance in an unnatural position. Kept the opposition at bay.

Shaun Noon – Busby AFC
On a day when Busby didn’t have a lot going forward, Shaun and the rest of the defence stood tall and kept a vital clean sheet.

Jamie Docherty – Knightswood AFC
Great debut filling in at centre-back, won everything in the air and added a goal.

Greg Moore – Clydebank SMFC
Recent addition. Handled the centre-forward well and distributed confidently from the back.

Michael Smith – Queens Park SFC
The former QP No.1 is revelling at centre-half these days. An imperious display with countless clearances and blocks — a foundation to build on.

Shaun McBrearty – GCR
Excellent throughout the game, never put a foot wrong. Read the game superbly.

Lewis Dorans – Third Lanark
Another player out of position but outstanding. Two goals and a strong overall performance. Unlucky not to be MOTM.

Tyler Fulton – Corinthians
Returning from injury, this was Tyler’s best performance in a Corinthians jersey. Won his battles at centre-half and used the ball well.

Jamie Donaghy – Clydebank Red Star
A captain’s performance from Donkey. Solid, composed, and back to his best.

Andrew Stokes – Westhill United
Showed real leadership in the middle of the park. Must have had a sore head after this one.

Sam – Burnhill FC
Debut at centre-back with an assured, energetic display. Proactive, brave, and met everything early — denied opponents time on either surface.

Rab Jennar – Clydeside Athletic
Strong at the back and won everything Port Glasgow BC threw at him.

Connor O’Brien – Corinthians
Back from injury and played right-back against a tricky winger. Held his own and delivered his best performance since returning.

Simon Tweddle – GCR
The utility man stepped up with his best showing in a long time, playing a vital role in the win.

Josh – Burnhill FC
A rare outing in his preferred No.10 role brought two goals and a full-throttle performance. Strong in the tackle and creative in build-up.

Nominations highlighted composure, control, work rate, and goals at key moments.
This week’s midfielders earned their places through:
breaking up play and protecting back lines running games from start to finish lifting team-mates when the dressing room needed it chipping in with goals and assists dictating tempo and stretching games out wide
A midfield unit built on engines, organisers, and match-shapers.

Ross Fulton – Busby AFC
Great to have Ross back. Played under-19s a few years ago — now proving to be Mr Reliable.

Ewan McLauchlan – Clydebank SMFC
Another Rolls Royce display. Opened the scoring and controlled the game.

Robert Conlin – Clydeside Athletic
Rambo sat in front of the defence and broke up play repeatedly. Strong and disciplined.

Billy Young – Third Lanark
Two goals — his first for the club — and a MOTM performance. KPU midfield couldn’t contain him.

Scott Hodge – Rutherglen Glencairn AFC
The engine in midfield. Covered every blade and set the tone.

Alan Vezza – Corinthians
One of the oldest in the squad but rolled back the years with a dominant display — 1 goal and 1 assist.

Greg Forrest – Clydebank Red Star
A near-weekly inclusion. A standout again and a huge asset to Red Star.

Jack Pellow – Toryglen Thistle
Constant threat down the right and gave the left-back a tough morning. Took his goal brilliantly, low across the keeper off the post.

Jack O’Hagan – Knightswood AFC
The team looks different when Jack plays. Dominated midfield from start to finish.

Liam McGuinness – Banknock FC
Brilliant debut. Won the ball repeatedly and played forward into dangerous areas.

Kian Donaghy – Queens Park SFC
In top form and continued it with a brace against Nevis. Up to six goals for the season.

Hakeem – Burnhill FC
Captain’s performance when the dressing room was on edge. Composed, intense, and inspired the side into an early 3–0 lead.

Chosen for game-changing numbers and moments — from hat tricks to assists to relentless pressure.
This week’s forwards stood out through:
raw pace and power five-goal half performances leading the line with authority decisive goals under pressure turning tight matches into wins
A finishing group that delivered when the margins mattered most.

Kai McDougall – Clydebank Red Star
A defender’s nightmare. Strength, pace, low centre of gravity — two goals and an assist.

Jamie’s Macleod – Rutherglen Glencairn AFC
MotM display with two goals and an assist. A real handful.

Rocco McGillivary – Toryglen Thistle
Started in midfield, moved to No.9 at half-time, and scored five goals in the second half.

Ryan Fox – Banknock FC
First game back from suspension. Scored, won a penalty, and took MOTM in their 3–2 Cinema Cup win.

David Blair – Queens Park SFC
Long-time assistant and 17-year club man who stepped in during an injury crisis. Rolled back the years with a key assist for the third goal.

Kyle MacDonald – Westhill United
Hat trick. Back to his best and it showed.

Ross Macdougall – Knightswood AFC
The captain scored a hattrick and ran himself into the ground for the team.

Sha Talat – GCR
Relentless all game. Never gave his opponents a minute. Only thing missing was a goal.

Sean McBride – Westhill United
A tough period personally, but answered it with the last-minute winner and two assists. A brilliant reaction.
