Fullerton Hat-Trick Stars in Crushing Win Over Knightswood

Nethercraigs AFC produced an outstanding performance and a resounding display of attacking football to dismantle a “stuffy” Knightswood side, securing a massive 9-1 victory in the GCFA Premiership.

The home side started strongly against their aggressive opponents, taking an early lead through a goal from Kieran Fullerton. While Knightswood managed to pull one back, Nethercraigs quickly restored and extended their dominance.

The key moment came before the interval. A great ball from Jordan Hay opened up the Knightswood defence, allowing Luke McMullan to square it to Fullerton, who bagged his second to make it 2-1. Just before the break, Shane Jackson rose highest to head home, sending Nethercraigs into half-time leading 3-1.

Second Half Goal Blitz

The second half began with a quick succession of goals, signalling a true rout. A great reverse pass from Jackson put McMullan through, and he finished confidently to make it 4-1. Moments later, great play from a free-kick saw a ball worked into the box, where Johnny Donald was on hand to score and push the lead to 5-1.

Substitute AJ made an immediate impact, reacting quickly after missing his initial shot to score the rebound for 6-1. The highlight of the evening for Fullerton came soon after when Darren Black picked him out, allowing the striker to complete his hat-trick and make it 7-1.

Goal of the Game

The crowd was then treated to the Goal of the Game as Jordan Hay unleashed a stunning strike from 35 yards out, finding the top corner directly from a free-kick to make it 8-1.

AJ completed the scoring and bagged his second goal of the evening, tapping home after being set up by another great ball from the left by Luke McMullan, sealing the incredible 9-1 final scoreline.

A special mention was given to Josh Gallagher, who put in a strong performance at right back.
