Coming soon Hugh Dunnits GCFA team of the week

Picked on impact, level, and match-changing moments — not just stats. This week’s Squad of the Week spotlights the players who swung games: saves at 1–0, last-ditch tackles, midfield pressure, and finishes under heat.

Thanks to the clubs for the detail in your nominations. We’ve leaned on that insight to reward the performances that mattered most across Saturday morning football.

Goalkeepers

Three keepers nominated for big moments: shot-stopping, organisation, and saves that kept their sides in games.

GK – Michael Clasper – Third Lanark AFC

second game in the sticks, second clean sheet. didn’t have much to do bar one save, but organised and kept his defence in shape

GK – Thomas hollis – Rutherglen Glencairn

Timmy saved 2 pens in the shootout and was a massive part of us getting through to next round

GK – Antou – Burnhill FC

Pulled off several top saves, continuing his strong form

Defenders

This week’s back line earned their place through blocks, headers, recovery runs, and reliability under pressure.

DEF – Sufyan – Burnhill Fc

Solid at CB, swept up well and won plenty of headers

DEF – Jordan McCafferty – Remo FC

Great to see Jordan shining again after injury! His versatility across the pitch has been massive — and he grabbed a well-deserved goal in our 4–1 victory over Bearsden

DEF – Marty McIntyre – Clydebank SMFC

Great performance from Marty. Did very well to keep a strong Corinthians forward line at bay

DEF – Teejay mcluskey – Rutherglen Glencairn AFC

Teejay played at right back a very unfamiliar position and he was excellent a motm performance outstanding

DEF – Jordan Kennedy – Corinthians

Once again our reliable Captain, did not put a foot wrong. The Clydebank forwards could not find a way by him. His distribution of the ball is like watching an American football quarterback.

CB – Jack Taylor – CAMBY MILAN

Absolutely solid 2nd half after being hard on himself the first half, absolutely solid!

DEF – David Hain – Clydeside Athletic

played really well against the pacey winger and played well all game solid in defence and excellent going forward

DEF – Connor Moan – Remo FC

Connor has been solid for us throughout the season, growing in confidence and improving every single week. He’s really settled into his position at left back and is starting to make it his own, showing consistency and maturity in his performances.

DEF – Paddy McGroarty – Clydeside Athletic

typical old fashioned centre half display own everything and marshelled the defence really well

Midfielders

Engines, creators, ball-winners — midfielders who controlled the tempo and made the difference on Saturday.

MID – Robbie Hay – Remo FC

Robbie was outstanding on Saturday — a real engine in the middle of the park. Loves a proper old-school 50/50 and never shies away from the battle. Rab is a pleasure to work with and gives everything every single week. A true rock in our midfield

MID – Ewan McLauchlan – Clydebank SMFC

Always a calm performer. Can take the ball in tights spaces and always looking to create.

MID – Alan Vezza – Corinthians

Alan is a very experienced centre mid player, who played some of his career at Clydebank Juniors. However, you would not know there was any affiliation to Clydebank, as he gives nothing away to them during the game . He is solid in the challenge and is an integral part of our midfield.

MID – Chris Wilson – Third Lanark AFC

the young 18 year old terrorised the opposition full back and created the first goal in what was his best game in a thirds jersey

MID – Daniel – Burnhill FC

4 well taken goals and a constant threat throughout

MID – Morgan Sechaud – BUSBY AFC

Great to have in the amateurs after a break from busby rejoined us this year and came up with the winning goal on sat

MID -Brandon McAuley – CAMBY MILAN

– again outstanding for us causing alsorts of problems, probably should have had his hatrick but another great performance none the less.

MID – Josh Flood – Corinthians

On his 4th season with the Corinthians, Floody brought all his experience to our midfield. He played the midfield spoiler roll very well, as well as making good passes to our forwards, and covering every area of the park. He was my MOTM.

MID – Stephen Lavery – Third Lanark AFC

Off the bench to seal the win for us in the second half with 2 well taken goals

Brett Curran mid

Top performance from the centre mid, ran the game and got a goal and couple assists to top it off

Ryan Murray mid

Great bit of skill to open the scoring and created chance after chance

Strikers

Forwards picked for goals, movement, work rate, and moments that swung matches in the final third.

STR – Fraser Moreton – BUSBY AFC

Was brilliant work effort second to none slowly coming back to his best from recent injury

STR – Graeme McCallum – Clydebank SMFC

A tough first half for Casa. Constant running. He kept going though and got his reward. Winning the penalty and converting

STR – William stalker – Rutherglen Glencairn AFC

Stalker scored our equaliser and was unlucky not to score the winner from a freekick which the keeper pulled off an unbelievable save excellent

STR – Alan Duncan – Clydeside Athletic

played really well up top himself his hold up play was great bring players into the game and getting a goal aswell

William Docherty fwd

Banged 4 goals and showed his class through the whole game
