Congratulations to

Daniel of

Burnhill FC

This weeks footy focus GCFA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

An excellent week for Daniel means he takes away the GCFA player of the week award.

Burnhill delivered a stunning performance on Saturday at the Glasgow Green Sports Centre, producing such a decisive victory over rivals River Nevis. The huge result left the River Nevis side undoubtedly reeling.

The game was a showcase of attacking football from the Burnhill squad, who appeared to simply find another gear when it mattered most. While their opponents managed to score a consolation goal, it was merely a blip in the face of Burnhill’s superior firepower and clinical finishing.

Daniel’s Dominance

The performance was heavily influenced by one individual, with striker Daniel commanding the spotlight. He was in unbeatable form, proving to be a constant threat to the opposition’s defense. Daniel was responsible for a remarkable haul of four goals across the match, cementing his status as the Man of the Match and the primary catalyst for the crushing win.

Burnhill’s coaches including manager Chris Priestly will be immensely satisfied with the convincing nature of this high-scoring triumph. For River Nevis, the result serves as a stark reminder of the work that lies ahead.

The Gaffer Chris Priestly spoke about Saturday’s big match and Daniel’s performance

“Delighted is an understatement. It was a phenomenal display from start to finish,” the manager stated. “We wanted to set a ferocious tempo, and the lads delivered. To put six past a quality opponent shows real credit to their mentality.”

“Daniel was simply unstoppable today. He’s a special talent,” he admitted. “His finishing was clinical—the second goal was pure class. But what pleases me most is his work rate. He leads the line, and the supply he got from our fullbacks and wingers was top-drawer.”

👏Another standout showing in the GCFA — proof that Saturday morning football delivers drama and quality.
