CONFERENCE LEAGUE

River Nevis v Burnhill FC

BURNHILL HIT NEVIS FOR SIX

A superb collective performance saw Burnhill FC climb to second place in the league table following a comprehensive victory this morning over River Nevis.

While the game was perhaps tighter than the final score suggests, the winning side managed to secure a comfortable result through individual brilliance and excellent teamwork. The highlight of the match was undoubtedly Johan’s incredible 40-yard screamer which netted the team’s second goal.

Striker Daniel enjoyed a phenomenal outing, scoring four goals and earning his first Player of the Match (POTM) award for the club. The victory was built on solid foundations, with the back four and midfield covering a massive amount of ground, and the frontline displaying superb link-up play throughout.

Burnhill FC Goalkeeper Antou also deserves special mention, pulling off a string of unreal saves and continuing what is shaping up to be one of his best seasons to date. The team’s big shift in effort proved too much for the opposition.
