After another thrilling weekend of grassroots football, we’ve narrowed down the standout performers who rose above the pack. From clutch goal scorers to defensive walls and heroic shot-stoppers — these seven players delivered when it mattered most.
Here are your Player of the Week nominations 👇
🔥 Rizwan– Burnhill FC

Burnhill’s forward was simply unplayable. Bagging four goals — and easily could’ve added more — Rizwan was a constant threat i in the final third and never gave the Rosebank defence a minutes peace. A ruthless edge in front of goal places him firmly among this week’s elite.
🔥 Jamie Curran – Port Glasgow Boys Club

The Port Glasgow leader makes the shortlist after a stunning performance. The captain led from the front with four well-taken goals and a MOTM performance. Curran dictated the tempo, tore through defences, and looked unstoppable. A true leader.
⚡ Kev Smith – Lokomotiv Glasgow

Down to 10 men and fighting for points, Lokomotiv needed a spark — and Kev Smith delivered. He came on and produced a phenomenal 15-minute hat-trick, turning the match on its head. Relentless work rate, deadly finishing. A game-changer.
🧤 Ross Stewart – REMO FC

Stewart put in a heroic shift in a high-pressure clash against West Hill. With big saves at key moments, he protected REMO’s lead and secured three vital points — earning himself a well-deserved MOTM. Safe hands. Big moments.
💥 Finbar Dunne – River Nevis

Defenders don’t often get the spotlight, but Finbar demanded it. Deep into the match, he smashed home a stunning last-minute half-volley, sealing the game in style. Add in a tireless performance, and you have one of the weekend’s defining players.
🎯 Aiden Gallagher – Park Sports Project

A nightmare for opposition defences — Gallagher was fouled repeatedly simply because they couldn’t deal with him. He carried his great scoring form into the weekend and was an essential outlet under pressure. As consistent as they come.
🌟 Stephen McShane – Netherton AFC

You’d never know it was his first game in six weeks. McShane provided a goal-of-the-season contender, dancing past three players before lobbing the keeper from just inside the halfway line. Electric return. One to remember.
