Glasgow Ansar v Kings Park United
1st November 2025

It was a top-of-the-table clash as Glasgow Ansar looked to respond following a disappointing performance the previous week. The first half was tightly contested, with few clear-cut chances for either side. Kings Park enjoyed more possession, but Ansar’s defensive organisation and work rate kept them at bay. Half time – 0–0.
The second half saw more attacking intent from both sides. Kings Park eventually took the lead when a deflected cross found their striker unmarked six yards out, and he made no mistake with the header.
Ansar, however, showed great resilience and hit back quickly. After a corner was recycled, Abdul whipped in a superb left-footed cross to the back post, where Himi timed his header perfectly to flick the ball into the net. 1–1.
The closing stages were end-to-end, with Kings Park pushing for a winner but being denied by heroic defending and outstanding saves from goalkeeper Josh. Ansar also looked dangerous on the break and could have snatched all three points themselves late on.
In the end, it was a hard-fought and well-earned draw that keeps Ansar top of the league.

Every player showed heart and determination, but Zu, stepping in as a makeshift right centre-back, was immense throughout — his positioning, work ethic, and composure earning him a well-deserved Man of the Match award.
