Plenty of contenders, but one gaffer stood above the rest. Saturday was about control, ruthlessness, and big players stepping up — and he ticked every box. The result was one that few saw coming, and it pushed his side into the spotlight.

“Sensational Scott: Clydebank Red Boss Scoops Top Award After big result”

Scott Pollock, manager of Clydebank Red Star , has been named Manager of the Week after guiding his side to a superb 1-1 draw with Scottish Amateur Football big hitters Gartcosh AFC.

The young coach demonstrated his tactical nous, proving that he can still cut it with the big boys of amateur football.

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Scott Pollok, the gaffer down at Clydebank, who showed some real determination and grit as he has endured a tricky start to the season

Enduring a Tricky Campaign

Recently promoted Clydebank Red Star have experienced an up-and-down campaign so far.

Life in the Premier League is challenging, but Red Star are adapting well and look like a team on the rise.

Manager Scott Pollock has steadied the ship throughout, and he is now beginning to see the rewards of his hard work.

The Result Against Gartcosh

Clydebank Red Star can be proud of that performance. Coming up against a strong Gartcosh side is never easy, and to come away with a fantastic result — especially after such a composed first half and a solid defensive showing throughout — says a lot about the team’s character.

Red Star however will have to do it all again when the clubs meet in the replay on Saturday. That fixture will take place at Broadwood Stadium on the outside pitch at 3PM

If you are at a loose end on Saturday afternoon then get yourself along to watch Scott and his boys try and produce another unbelievable result.

THOUGHTS FROM THE MAIN MAN

Scott Pollock

I always say that these awards are a collective. Not just for me, but for my coaches and my players.

With the league run we are on at the minute it could’ve been very easy to show up and crumble against a Gartcosh side who are in are great form at the moment, having beat a really good Greenock HSFP team a week ago.

However, the lads turned up with the right mentality, attitude and determination to get a result on Saturday. We all love the Scottish Cup and the journey it can take you on so to see the response in the performance is pleasing.

Myself and my coaching staff come up with the game plan but it is up to the players to execute that. On another day, we would already be through to the 4th Round but we have another opportunity on Saturday where we hope secure our place in the next round.

Well done to Scott and his management team👏👏
