🔥 No script is safe in the GCFA — here’s this week’s shocker.
Social Media HQ have decided to go for Clydebank Red Star shocking Gartcosh on Saturday.
This full-time result could easily have been ‘Result of the Week’, but the story around the scoreline sealed it as our Shock of the Week.

RED STAR RESULT
Clydebank Red Star can be proud of that performance. Coming up against a strong Gartcosh side is never easy, and to come away with a fantastic result — especially after such a composed first half and a solid defensive showing throughout — says a lot about the team’s character.
The discipline at the back clearly made the difference, keeping Gartcosh from finding any real rhythm, while the early tempo set the tone. A draw leaves everything to play for, and with that level of organisation and belief, Red Star will fancy their chances in the replay next week.
If they can take the same intensity into the next match and maybe add a clinical moment or two up top, there’s every opportunity to push through to the 4th Round. Great effort from the team! 👏

We knew when the draw was made that it was going to be a great tie with nothing to fear. We have faced a good side in Westerlands and putting them out would have been a shock to a few so we know what we are capable of.
We started the game fast with a great goal from Kai McDougall which showed real strength and determination to put the ball in the net.
On another day we could’ve been 2 up before conceding the equaliser but we had the better of the chances.
We hope that Saturday isn’t an opportunity missed as we go to Gartcosh on Saturday looking to progress to the 4th Round.
