“It was a proper cup tie, a real grind. We had to dig deep. Conditions weren’t easy, the pitch was a bit lively, and Strollers were physical and well-organised. They threw everything at us, but our lads stood up to the challenge. The defence was rock solid—our back four and the keeper were immense and deserved that clean sheet.

“The goals, when they came, were down to sheer determination and quality at the key moments. We showed patience when we needed to and then delivered the killer blow. It was a hard-fought, ground-out performance, and those are the victories that show the character of a team.

Key Player Praise: DUGGAN

Connor Duggan stood out today. At the back, he was simply superb. He wasn’t just defending; he was commanding the entire unit. He dominated the aerial battles—he won everything up there—and his positioning was flawless all afternoon.

Against the top opposition we’ll face, that level of quality and leadership is non-negotiable, and he delivered a top-level performance.
