What a day for PSP! They’ve battled their way into the next round of the Scottish Cup with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Edinburgh Strollers. The team showed grit, determination, and some serious defensive muscle to earn their clean sheet and the win.

âš˝ First Half Advantage

The breakthrough came in the first half courtesy of Chrissy Shields, who put PSP 1-0 up before the break. That crucial goal gave the team something to defend and a solid platform to build on for the rest of the game.

🛡️ Defensive Masterclass

While the attackers get the glory, the real heroes today were the defence! A massive shoutout goes to Duggan, Jordan, and Anton for putting on a true defensive masterclass. They held the line, shut down every Strollers’ attack, and ensured the keeper had a relatively quiet afternoon. That clean sheet is a testament to their focus and teamwork.

🥅 Sealing the Deal

Vlad Mendes in action

The game remained a tense 1-0 right up until the final moments. But just when it looked like the final whistle would blow, David Gorlach stepped up! He calmly slotted home a penalty in the last couple of minutes to make it 2-0 FT, putting the result beyond any doubt and sending the fans (and the team!) into raptures.

Final Score: PSP 2 – Edinburgh Strollers 0

It’s a fantastic result and a huge step for the club. The dream of a Scottish Cup run is alive!
