Against all the odds—and trust me, the odds were heavy—Toryglen Thistle FC didn’t just win, they put on a clinic, handing East Dumbartonshire FC a phenomenal 5-0 hammering!
The West Of Scotland Cup is a prestigious competition and in the latter stages of the tournament only the strong teams will survive.
East Dumbartonshire are no joke; they’re a seriously strong side from a very strong league setup, but they were completely run over. The Thistle attack was just relentless, kicking off with MacGregor in the first minute! By the time the ref blew for half-time, Toryglen had already put four past them.
This wasn’t just a great result; it was a total statement of intent. It goes to show that when a team is firing on all cylinders, history, league standing, or reputation means absolutely nothing! What a victory!”
