This Saturday’s GCFA Championship fixtures could prove pivotal as the division’s unbeaten leaders look to protect their early dominance. Glasgow Ansar and Kings Park United sit just a single point apart, while several mid-table sides are desperate to turn promise into points before the season begins to take shape.
At the other end, DTI will be hoping to finally stop the rot after a rough opening month, and Southside United will look to build some rhythm after a string of narrow results.

We can see why our GCFA roving reporter has gone for this one. Rhu have made an eye-catching start — unbeaten after two games, scoring nine and conceding four. It’s been fast-moving, high-scoring stuff in both outings, and the early signs point to a team that can make things happen.
Saturday’s fixture is another chance to test that promise against more settled opposition. What’s certain is that Rhu’s games don’t stay quiet for long, and their results already hint at a side capable of shaking up the Championship order.
