Hugh has picked an ultra attacking 2-4 -4 formation

How Hugh Picks It

This week’s GCFA Team of the Week comes straight from the Squad of the Week nominations (in link below), then filtered through Hugh Dunnit’s no-nonsense eye for impact. He’s gone bold again — a fearless 2–4–4 that rewards match-changers, not bystanders.

SQUAD OF THE WEEK – Big Plays, Big Points.

The process is simple: clubs nominate, Hugh studies the detail, then calls it as he sees it. Big saves at 1–0, tackles that stop a certain goal, or strikers who finish when it matters. If it swung points, it counts.

Goalkeeper

– Josh –

Glasgow Ansar

DEF – Jay McKay – Rutherglen Glencairn AFC

Corinthians’ forwards? Missing persons case. Jay’s got them tucked away.

DEF – John Rowan – Toryglen Thistle

Brother in arms — controlled the back line and shut down the danger. Rowan brothers = brick wall.

MID – Sam Stevenson – Rosebank United

Turned mud into magic: goal, assist, and the difference-maker.

MID – Aiden Gallacher – PSP

Another two goals, unstoppable form, defenders still having nightmares. The attacking player is aiming to stay in the team of the week all season.

MID – Zak Conner – Woodbank FC

Mr. Reliable — ended up filling in at centre-back and still delivered.

MID – Crawford Kenny – Glasgow Island

Does all the dirty work, then pops up with two goals. The definition of balance.

STR – Patrick Foxworthy- Busby AFC

Hat-trick hero. Call him “Mr. Three Points.”

STR – Kyle MacDonald – Rutherglen Glencairn AFC

Another hat-trick for “Goals” Henry. Defenders see him on the team sheet and phone in sick.

STR – Ross McDougall – Knightswood

Two more goals, battered defenders, skipper’s authority. Walking nightmare for centre-backs.

ST – Sean Balfour – Kings Park United

Four goals in four games. Ice cold from the spot to grab the win.
