The GCFA Premier League served up another month of top-tier quality — and September belonged to the players who refused to let standards drop.

From clinical finishes to tireless shifts in midfield, five names stood out above the rest: Angelo Da Silva (Nethercraigs), Andy Lindsay (Toryglen Thistle), Leroy Smith (Rutherglen Glencairn AFC), Aiden Gallacher (Park Sports Project), Thomas Halleran (Corinthians) and Zander MacNeil— each playing a defining role in their club’s strong start.

Angelo Da Silva – NETHERCRAIGS

Angelo has had a great month and adds a real calmness to our game and topped it off with a man of the match performance and a goal v League Champions Corinthians

Angelo was an easy nomination for Player of the month.

ANDY LINDSAY – TORYGLEN THISTLE

A tremendous start to the season continued into September for Andy. The attacker has helped lead his team Toryglen Thistle into an unbeaten start to the campaign.

Andy is a player who contributes to every game that he plays in, The creative winger is a big part of how Toryglen play and is a player who can make things happen.

Leroy Smith – RUTHERGLEN GLENCAIRN AFC

Leroy has came back this year and even better player than last year

He went away worked on his fitness and came back on another level

Especially regarding his output hes on 10 goals this season already and about the same for assists 🤝

An all round good month for Leroy sees him in the running for our Premier League Player Of The Month

Aiden Gallacher – PARK SPORTS PROJECT

Gal has been outstanding lately. He is your archetypal target man. Never gives the defence a minutes peace, challenges for everything, good in the air, holds up play well, driving runs, involves others, scores and makes chances for himself and others.

Aiden has been pivotal in the team’s performances lately and is becoming a mainstay.

The midfielder has really turned up and put in a host of performances that have caught the eye of Social Media HQ.

An all round good month for big Aiden sees him in the running for our Premier League September Player Of The Month

Thomas Halleran – CORINTHIANS

Thomas offers Corinthians something that no other midfield player does.

He has a flare to his game that makes him look as if he’s gliding as he passes players with the ball glued to his feet – even when he is given a solid challenge by more than one opponent.

He scores goals from open play, from free kicks and contributes to others with his assists.

He’s a special player and worth putting forward for player of the month.

Zander MacNeil – GLASSGOW ISLAND

Zander Macneil – Zander is well known to defences in the league, having been around since 2016. He used to be known as ‘the wee guy with the headband’ and he was a huge talent who could play on either wing.

He has had a storming September and really seems to be enjoying his football again.

If Zander can keep up this level of performance it won’t just be Player of the Month he will be getting tipped for.

September was a statement month in the Premier League. six players, six different stories – but the same impact: driving their sides forward when it mattered most. Whether it’s DA Silvas MOTM performances, MacNeils dogged determination, Lindsay’s unbeaten spark, Gallachers midfield dominance, Hallerans early fireworks, or Smith’s relentless consistency, each one made their mark on the opening weeks of the season.

August was a statement month in the Premier League. Five players, five different stories – but the same impact: driving their sides forward when it mattered most. Whether it’s Jackson’s perfect hat-trick, Lindsay’s unbeaten spark, McFarlane’s midfield dominance, Gallagher’s early fireworks, or Murney’s relentless consistency, each one made their mark on the opening weeks of the season.

Who gets your nod? We’ll soon find out – but one thing’s certain: the standard has been set sky-high for the months to come.
