Three standouts. One crown. Whose hard work gets the reward?

September was a month where touchline voices mattered just as much as what happened on the pitch.
Three managers — Connor Moffat (Westhill United), Chris Priestly (Burnhill FC), and Calum Morrison (River Nevis) — stood out for different reasons, but all shared the same trait: lifting their squads when it counted most.
From Westhill’s bounce-back form to Burnhill’s momentum-building wins and River Nevis’ turnaround, each boss showed why the Conference League remains one of the GCFA’s most unpredictable battlegrounds.

Connor Moffat – Westhill Utd
Experienced boss Connor Moffat was really unlucky not to lead his team into the Boca Championship as a win against Nevis and a draw against Third Lanark was just not enough at the start of the season.
Moffat has bounced back with three big wins in September and he really does have his club playing some great stuff.
Moff was an easy nomination for the Manager of the month award.

CHRIS PRIESTLY – BURNHILL FC
The Burnhill gaffer has had a very productive September and he will be praying his team could continue that form into October.
Two big wins over Glasgow Medics and Queens Park SFC has really put Burnhill in a good place.

CALUM MORRISON
– RIVER NEVIS
Morrison has had a tough spell at River Nevis over the last year or so but it looks like the hard work on the training pitch is really beginning to pay off.
Wins over Banknock, Cambuslang FA and Glasgow Medics have firmly put Calum Morrison in the frame for the Conference manager of the month.

The shortlist is set, but the debate is far from over.
These three didn’t just chase points — they raised standards. Whoever takes the crown will know it’s been earned the hard way.
📊 Who gets your nod? We’ll soon find out — but one thing’s certain: the bar has already been set sky-high.

Folk keep asking why the GCFA runs the show every Saturday morning — it’s simple.
This league doesn’t wait for the cameras, it makes its own noise. Real football, real graft, and managers who live every kick from the touchline. That’s Saturday morning excellence — the GCFA way.
