The GDSFC football season came into life during September, with teams up and down the league set up battling for early bragging rights.
It’s been a month of massive performances, bold decisions, and plenty of drama.
Now that the dust has settled, we can shine a light on the gaffers who stood out from the crowd – the Brothers in Arms Manager of the Month winners!
Premiership: Paul Wilson (Todholm AFC)

Todholm AFC had no easy ride in September, but Paul Wilson got every ounce out of his squad. His side showed real grit and discipline to grind out results, and their consistency has kept them right in the mix at the top.
Wilson’s man-management and ability to tweak things when needed gave Todholm the edge – a deserved winner of this illustrious award.
Championship: Keith Johnston (Kilburne AFC)

Few sides were as entertaining to watch as Kelburne in September, and that’s down to Keith Johnston. His attacking style paid off handsomely, with goals flying in and confidence growing with every game.
Johnston has brought belief and energy to the squad, and it’s clear the players are buying into his vision.
A last minute winner against Glasgow Diverse helped seal his big award.
Division One: Stephen Armstrong (Caledonian Spartans)

The Spartans came flying out of the blocks under Stephen Armstrong. Relentless pressing, slick teamwork, and a ruthless edge in front of goal saw them dismantle opponents and climb the table at pace.
Armstrong’s clear direction and man management skills have given his side a real identity – and the results on the park speak for themselves.
Division Two: David Devlin (Strathclyde UTD)

September belonged to Strathclyde United in Division Two, and much of that was down to David Devlin.
His side showed character in tough matches, digging deep when it mattered most. Devlin’s knack for tactical tweaks and ability to get everyone pulling in the same direction were key factors in their strong run.
Three massive wins have reinvigorated Strathclyde’s season and Devlin has massively played his part.
Division Three: Alan Skelton (Vale AFC)
Vale AFC lit up Division Three last month thanks to the work of Alan Skelton.
His team played with freedom and purpose, racking up goals and picking up memorable wins along the way.
Skelton’s influence has been clear to see, bringing both spirit and attacking flair to his squad.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Congratulations to all of September’s winners – five managers who’ve made a real impact on their clubs and divisions. Scottish amateur football is alive and kicking, and if this past month is anything to go by, October should be just as exciting.
