Glasgow Ansar returned to winning ways with a composed and assured performance, defeating Lokomotiv Glasgow 2–0 in a fiery encounter at the weekend.

Goals from Maaz and substitute Azeem secured a deserved victory, while a resilient defensive display ensured a clean sheet.

The opening half was competitive, marked by physical battles and midfield duels. Ansar created the better chances, twice going close to breaking the deadlock, but were unable to convert their dominance into a lead before the interval.

Lokomotiv offered little in attack, leaving the contest finely poised at 0–0 at half-time.

The breakthrough arrived shortly after the restart. Aqib, a constant threat throughout, surged into the penalty area before being brought down.

From the resulting spot-kick, top scorer Maaz confidently dispatched his effort into the bottom corner to give Glasgow Ansar the advantage. 1-0 Ansar !!!!!

Moments later, Lokomotiv’s task became even harder as they were reduced to ten men, with a defender dismissed for a second bookable offence following another foul on Aqib.

Glasgow Ansar capitalised almost immediately. Maaz turned provider, threading a perfectly weighted through ball to Azeem, who showed composure to round the goalkeeper and finish clinically for 2–0.

With a two-goal cushion, Ansar managed the closing stages professionally, limiting Lokomotiv to half-chances while continuing to pose a threat on the counterattack.

The victory, built on discipline and attacking quality, marked a strong response following back-to-back draws.
