
A Classic encounter took place at New Tinto Park as Bishopton gave up their home venue to play at this classy venue.
Bishopton FC have a history of making life difficult for Park Sports Project as they took points off the title challengers last season.
From the first whistle, Park Sports Project were on the front foot and looking to stamp down an early marker in the game.

Inside the opening ten minutes, Gal of PSP drove through midfield before being fouled 20 yards out. His resulting free-kick crashed off the post, and moments later Jordan K saw a strike saved with Gal’s follow-up blocked at point-blank range,outstanding goalkeeping and defending from Bishopton
The chances kept coming. Chrissie’s header from a deep Dec corner flashed wide, while Vlad’s surging run and cross only just evaded Gal. Gal himself went close on 35 minutes, cutting inside to set up Vlad, whose shot drifted narrowly wide.


Bishopton reminded PSP of their threat on forty three minutes when a corner was headed goalward, only for Johnny to pull off a superb save to keep the scores level at the half.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with PSP piling forward. Gal saw another long-range effort well stopped by the Bishopton number one.
Bishopton struck against the run of play on fifty eight minutes when a long ball over the top was controlled smartly, and the Bishopton striker Furze finished calmly into the bottom corner to put his side into the lead. 1-0 Bishy !!!!!
The setback only seemed to sharpened PSP’s resolve. Within minutes, Ali’s cross found Jacko whose header drifted wide, before slick interplay between Mickie, Vlad, and Gal ended with the striker being fouled by the goalkeeper. Penalty !!!!!!!


The momentum was with PSP. On 78 minutes, Colin powered down the right before cutting inside and finding Callum, who buried his shot into the far corner to put Park Sports Project into the lead. 2-1 PSP !!!!!
Jacko was unlucky to see an effort clip the bar, and in stoppage time, substitute Anton slid a clever pass through to Colin, who sealed the victory with a cool finish. 3–1 PSP !!!!!
It was a fine all-round display from PSP, full of energy and attacking intent. Despite falling behind, their persistence and quality shone through as they ran out thoroughly deserved winners.

PSP produced a stirring performance to overturn an early setback and claim a 3–1 win over Bishopton in an entertaining contest.
