This past Grassroots Football Week 2025 saw Burnhill FC make a tremendous impact, and the numbers are in. We’re more than just a club; we’re a vital community service providing accessible football in September 2025, but we can’t do it alone.

Breaking Down Barriers to Play

Burnhill FC is founded on the principle that everyone deserves access to the beautiful game, regardless of their financial situation. Look at what we achieved together in just 28 days this month (1st–28th September 2025):

That’s right—over 60% of all participations this month were free thanks to the incredible support of our community! We are actively knocking down financial barriers to keep people on the pitch.

Inclusive by Design

Inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do. Burnhill FC is proud to be a truly diverse club that welcomes everyone:

• Player Age Range: 18–49

• 72% of our players are from global majority ethnicities.

• We rely on 12 dedicated volunteers, with 50% of our volunteers coming from global majority ethnicities.

Burnhill FC isn’t just about football; it’s about building a diverse, strong, and connected community.

The Financial Challenge: Why We Need Your Help

Providing a vital community service isn’t cheap, and we rely entirely on the generosity of our community. Unlike many clubs, we operate with no government, council, or charity funding.

The costs to run Burnhill for the last 28 days totaled £1946.47.

The harsh reality is that the need for financial accessibility is huge:

• 73% of our players can’t cover their full costs.

• 45% of our players can’t contribute at all.

This gap is why your support is so critical. We can only continue to provide free access and keep the club running with help from our members, donors, and sponsors.
