Cumbernauld Colts 19s weren’t far behind with a dozen goals against Bo’ness, while Bannockburn AFC racked up fourteen against Carbrain 21s. Elsewhere z, Toryglen Thistle hit ten against Dean Fennick Thistle (Ayr), and Calderglen AFC (GGPL) posted an 11–1 win over Carolsid. Drumchapel Amateurs (Cale) also cleared double figures with an 11–0 success at Clydeside Athletic.
Ties Settled from the Spot
Several ties required penalties to separate the sides. Fir Park Corner AFC (SMAFA) edged Burnbank AFC 21s 5–4 after a 2–2 draw. Eastwood Parkmount AFC (GGPL) held off Burnhill from the spot after a 1–1 deadlock, while Glasgow Athletic AFC advanced 4–3 on penalties against Glennifer Thistle AFC (SMAFA) following another 2–2 draw. St Mungo 21s and Harestanes also shared six goals in a contest that finished level.
Strong Starts and Statement Wins
PGBC Amateurs began their campaign with a 4–1 victory over St Roch’s, while Craigneuk Amateurs SM AFC (GGPL) defeated Remo FC 3–1. Blantyre Soccer Academy (SMAFA) overcame Clydebank Red Star 4–1, Cambuslang Colts 19s beat Cathcart AFC 4–2, and Red Star Paisley (SMAFA) knocked out Corinthians with a 3–1 win.
AS Airdrie (SMAFA) put seven past Drumchapel Amateurs 21s, Westerlands AM (GGPL) beat Queen’s Park SFC 3–0, and Dalziel HSFP (SMAFA) saw off Greater Croftpark Rose 6–2. Kings Park United (GCAFA) also impressed with a 7–1 win over Westwood.
Other notable results saw Busby AFC win 7–2 away at Blacks (Ayrshire), Glasgow Harp (GGPL) beat Drumchapel Amateurs 19s 3–0, Rothesay Brandane (Cale) defeat Greenock HS 21s 4–0, and Rutherglen Glencairn progress with a 4–2 win over EKRR (GGPL). Stewart Annick (Ayrshire) edged Cambuslang FA 3–2, Park Sports Project got past Strathclyde University (Cale) by the same score, and Woodbank AFC edged Drogan United AM 4–3. Baillieston Thistle (SMAFA) rounded things off with a 3–1 win at St Cadocs.
