The competition was fierce, the decisions tough – but this week’s GCFA Manager of the Week made it impossible to look past him

A wonderful week for David Callaghan saw him and his Bishopton FC team pick up a very important 1-0 victory over Eastwood Parkmount to start their scottish Cup campaign off with a bang
#ManagerOfTheWeek
Saturday was a day when Callaghan’s spine of the team really showed up and got the job done. Captain Stephen Donald led his team to a clean sheet playing the game at Centre back
Callaghan and Bishopton FC will want to keep this great run going as long as they possibly can.

Bishopton have been on the rise the last couple of seasons and they will be looking to really improve during this campaign by finishing higher in the league and going deeper into the cup competitions.

BIG GAME PLAYERS

We caught up with the man of the moment and he had the following to say ⬇️

Bishopton FC Boss Callaghan said ⬇️
Saturday seen us come up against Eastwood park mount from greater Glasgow Saturday morning league in the Scottish cup first round.
The boys were up for it from the first whistle the game itself was played at a fast pace first half seen us take the advantage when Fraser Watt smashed home a volley from just outside the box. The 2nd half seen us show a different side to our game where we had to endure some pressure from Eastwood but the back line and Colin (goalkeeper) stood up to the test. We missed a few glorious chances to put the game to bed and surprisingly Ethan seen his penalty saved. The boys deserved to put us into the next round of the Scottish an achievement that we haven’t done in my time at the club until now.
We have been rewarded with a bye to the 3rd round
